“You just need to do everything you can, with everyone you can, to change everything you can.” – Greta Thunberg
“Changing our societal priorities hardly needs to be a capitulation to grim necessity. Human activity can be regenerative and our productive capacities can be transformed. In fact, we are seeing examples of that happening right now. Expanding those efforts now creates a world full of opportunity that is also sustainable.” – KPMG Director Gaya Herrington
Destroying biodiversity has also destroyed the critical mechanisms for stabilising our climate. As dangerous tipping points already are being breached there are three critically urgent priorities that must be enacted:
1. Stop pouring greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere
3. Adaptation: prepare to live in a world with a rapidly changing climate; restoring biodiversity will buffer us from the worst impacts
We can do this. And we can thrive. But it requires a different way of thinking.
It requires innovation.
The links in this section are to innovative organisations, research, and/or businesses. Listing them here is not an endorsement. Some may prove to be of limited value. Others may offer stepping-stones to better long term solutions.
If you have an innovate project or business that aims to achieve one or more of the three urgent priorities, particularly priorities 2 and 3, contact email@example.com so that we can include them here.
